NAHAN: Congress leader and former MLA Kanwar Ajay Bhadur Singh today alleged that the previous BJP government laid the foundation stone of alternate drinking water scheme for the town without proper work out thus the work of the scheme is yet to start. Interacting with media persons at Press Club office he said that BJP wanted to get the political benefits instead of public interests because the shortage of drinking water was the major issue in assembly elections. He said that the forest case for the construction of scheme was sent to ministry without proper survey thus clearance was still awaited. He said that the possibility of change in the design of the scheme may not be ruled out and pleaded that the pipes of 56 crore drinking water scheme should be laid alongside of the road because the maintenance would be easy. On the occasion state chief of All Muslim welfare committee Naseem Mohammed Didan and former MLA Roop Singh were also present.
